Pitch
In this section I will be talking about our pitch and reflecting upon the process.

Pitch document
Below is the pitch document we created for the project which Alison wrote up for us.

This set the basis for a lot of decisions we made for the project such as our project outputs, objectives, and our outcome measures.

The pitch presentation
After creating the powerpoint for the presentation on Canva and Alison wrote the script, we as a group felt like we needed to do some prep from the presentation as we knew we would be doing it in-front of a panel. Kayleigh, Alison and I booked out a private room in the library the morning of so that they could look over the power point and we could make any adjustments as well as run through the script to make sure it flowed well and all the information was accurate and relevant.
After running over it a few times together we moved through to the classroom to find a full camera set up which gave me some anxiety. We sat in class for a while waiting for Jazmin to show up so we could go through the presentation together but she only walked in about 5 minutes before the presentations started so we only got through a little bit in front of the screen before everyone else had to present.
We watched the other two groups deliver their presentations and then it was our turn to deliver. Alison had made que cards for our script and this is something I have never used before. It threw me off and I was so nervous that I ended up skipping a big part of the script that explained idea for the project as a whole and led to the first piece of feedback of the panel not fully understanding the project. Over all I think we as a collective delivered the presentation well and some other feedback we got was that we were clearly passionate about our project and why we felt the need to do the project to begin with and that we had also done a lot of research so far. The last piece of feedback we received was that the panel had a hard time understanding who our target audience is because we want the space to be inclusive so that anyone and everyone feels welcome and included but more specifically targeted towards the alternative community. However alternative is a pretty subjective word and as a business I think the panel wanted us to be even more specific about our target audience.
Reflection
Experience

We sat in many meetings over the course of a few weeks to discuss our pitch document and add all of the relvant content, we worked it out as a group and all contributed our ideas. Alison and Kayleigh worked on the script together and I created the powerpoint for the presentation shown above.

Refection

I learned that although I didn't write the pitch document or the script I still added valuable ideas to the discussion and some of my points are on there, meaning just because I didn't type them up I still contributed and was useful to the team here. I also learned that I don't present well with a script or cue cards as I get distracted, lose my place and miss vital information.

Action

For my next presentation I will be sure to go back to my tired and true method of just winging it and using my slides as pointers of what to talk about as I tend to remember everything that way and I also sound more authentic and passionate about the topic I present about. I shall also spend less time worrying about my contribustions to group projects just because I work in. different ways from others.
