For our group project with Tina, we (me, Alison, Kayleigh and Jazmin) created a gothic portraiture studio experience. during the course of the project we had to create a brand Identity which included a logo, website, group blog and multiple presentations. I was given the permissions to create and update these to fit with our brand palette so that we would have consistency across all platforms.

As an interior designer I was also in charge of creating the set designs for the photoshoot we did for the project which I created with the props already in the studio or the ones that Jazmin brought from her own home.
Get Lippy

For this project I was both model and interviewee for Professional makeup artist Alison Douglas for her new pilot YouTube show and podcast Get Lippy. The show consisted of me sitting to get my makeup done while she asked me questions about being a female entrepreneur in Scotland.
Sarah Gillespie Makeup Artistry

I worked with Sarah Gillespie as a model for her project where she was creating experimental looks to build her portfolio. For one of these looks she wanted to design a non-traditional night out look with bold oranges and gloss on the eyes and lips.
Rejects : Kirkcaldy

On an excursion to get some sewing supplies I went to rejects department store and since They have a lot of different counters in their home departments I spoke so the manager of the store to see if I could promote my business is some way. He said I could bring in some business cards the next time I go and he would be more than happy to put them on the counter for their fit and measure service.
John Houston

At the beginning of December we met up with the HND graphic design class and I started working with John Houston to design my professional brand identity for my business. He created for me a whole Brand guidelines booklet including a logo, colour palette, font choices and business card options for me to use.
Interior design : my first client

During one of our many meetings together I discussed with him that for my personal project it was suggested to me that I try to get a live client and he offered me the opportunity to design the stairwell in his 1887 home. I visited him and his husband in February to discuss their want and needs for the space and went away with a vague plan on how to design the space that works for both of them.
Future projects
Having already been approached by a second client to design an office space for them I'm pretty hopeful the of what the future holds for me and my business and am excited to work on this new project with them when my schedule eases up.
Reflection
Experience

I Have worked professionally with 3 Makeup Artists, A photographer, A graphic designer and soon a furniture store and a Lecturer. I worked not only as an interior designer but a client, a model and a brand manager. I had a difficult time with communication during my group project as there were some artistic differences however during the project we managed to find compromises. Working on Get Lippy and Sarah Gillespies projects that would typically be out of my comfort zone.

Refection

Kaptured majik Help me develop better communication skills and will help me better know what to do next time I have creative differences on a project. After being a model I have found myself feeling more confident especially in front of a camera which isn't something I would normally do and has inspired me to put myself out there.

After working with these professionals I want to continue seeking collaborative projects,
Look for more opportunities to present myself in a more professional setting i.e. conferences and competitions, and look for interior design meet-ups in my area.
